Fat Freezing.
Fat
freezing or Cryo-lipolysis is a safe and nonsurgical fat reduction treatment
that exposes the skin to temporary cold temperatures to reduce the body's fat
deposits in certain areas.
Fat
freezing is designed to reduce, and eliminate, localized fat deposits or bulges
in different parts of the body which do not respond to proper diet and daily
exercise. Fat freezing is best suited in areas of the body like the chin, upper
arms, inner and outer thighs, abdomen, hips, flanks, upper and lower back, and
underneath the buttocks.
Fat
freezing treatments are safe and can be performed in any doctor's clinic or
outpatient clinic with the size and shape of fatty deposits to be removed outlined
with a skin-marker. With fat-freezing therapy, patients do not require sedation
and are awake during the procedure.
It
generally takes up to one hour to treat an area using the fat-freezing
treatment with the areas treated being massaged afterward to assist in the
breakdown of the fat cells in the body. Fat freezing works on the principle
that the body's fat cells are more susceptible to damage when cold temperatures
are applied compared to other cells like skin cells. By degrading the fat cells
in the body fat freezing Bristol triggers an inflammatory response in the body which
encourages the immune system to rid the body of its dead fat cells.
Fat
freezing results in noticeable changes in the body after just three weeks of
treatment with a dramatic improvement more evident after about two months. Fat
freezing is an ideal and very safe, fat reduction treatment as no surgical
incisions are required and with no risk of infections. It can be easily performed
on an outpatient basis and does not require patients to be sedated before
undergoing the procedure.
Fat
freezing also allows more than one area of the body to be treated with patients
easily resuming their normal daily activities immediately after treatment. While
fat freezing is not ideal, and even avoided, on severely obese patients it can
be performed on people of all ages.
Possible
damage to nerve fibers, blood vessels, and muscles, or lasting damage to the
skin in the treatment area are also non-existent during fat freezing with
dissolved fat cells safely metabolized and permanently removed from the body.
However,
some restrictions to fat-freezing treatments still apply like it is recommended
only for people that are in good general health and with no neurologic or
orthopedic problems, and only require fat reduction in specific areas of the
body. It is not recommended for people who have obesity.
Fat
freezing may also require more than one fat-freezing treatment session to
achieve a patient's desired results. And if more than one fat-freezing
treatment session is required, the following session must not be performed
until after six to eight weeks after the first session.
The
reasoning behind this is that the body commonly takes this long to eliminate
dissolved fat cells from the body. While any noticeable fat reduction results
are not evident immediately after a fat freezing session, since fat cells
generally take time to be eliminated from the body, it can still be reasonably
expected to take between three to six months to achieve optimal fat reduction
results.
